Kristin Powell

Kristin Powell is a proven organizer, strategist, and leader with more than 15 years of experience building grassroots campaigns to win Black political power.  In June 2024, she was appointed as Principal of Black Futures Lab and Black to the Future Action Fund, where she leads a growing team of 19 to make Black communities powerful in politics, and foster meaningful policy and electoral change on the local and state levels. Powell earned her Bachelor of Arts in Geography from Dartmouth College, where she was recently honored with the 2024 Dartmouth Social Justice Award. She has been interviewed by numerous news organizations, including Capital B, Reuters, and Word in Black.
